The Town of Kentland
Envisioning the revitalization of a small town in Indiana.
Marty Neumeier, a prolific brand strategist, once wrote, “A brand is a person’s gut feeling about a product, service, or company.”
At first glance, Kentland, Indiana seems to be exempt from this. Nothing could be further from the truth. Towns and cities function like companies. Their services are provided through local businesses and their products are the collective sum of experiences that residents derive from these services.
Kentland is a brand, and feelings are a product. Plain and simple. They paint a narrative about your town and reinforce opinions that encourage to stay and invest, or simply abandon.
The bottom line: if you don’t tell your town or city's story, others will tell it for you.
So we asked ourselves the question: What is Kentland's story? There's a lot to unpack there, and it's going to take time to fully discover the answer. We're very much in the beginning stages of this project, but our focus is clear. Economic development and brand-building is our goal
To enhance Kentland's perception, we'll be creating fresh photography and video storytelling, as well as a website to effectively communicate that Kentland is an opportune place to live, work, and play.
